The Kani shawl of Kashmir is a colorful shawl made of pashmina wool. These are small wooden sticks i.e. called 'Kani'. Kani shawl is woven like a carpet.  Colored threads are twisted around the Kani to create patterns on the top of the shawl. The double Kani shawl is very warm. she is light weight.
